Error Message: “Missing required context variable: account-id”
Came across this error message while trying to connect Google Analytics from Tableau Desktop (was using v9 but it doesn’t matter).
Root-cause:
- I didn’t signup for Google Analytics
- Subsequently, I don’t have Account, Property and View setup like below by that time.
Solution:
- Signup with existing Google account or create one.
- Setup Account, Property and View as shown below, this is simple just follow the instructions from Google.
